I thought you would like to know what has been happening since the sign stating that the library closed for the month of July was taped to the front door. Some of you might have had the thought that the librarians received a month of vacation and were sitting in the sun somewhere drinking lemonade. Actually, I have been at the library everyday amidst the mess and commotion making sure all of the proposed changes have been able to be completed as planned. I have been dusting and cleaning and dusting and cleaning. Imagine that!
My report to you today is that our progress is coming along just fine and we are seeing wonderful improvements. The plan is that we will be moving books back into place very soon. As soon as that happens, we can open our doors again and check out books. We are planning a grand opening sometime in the fall when we have everything actually finished and can declare that we are DONE. So, for now, I thank you for your patience and look forward to seeing you in the very near future.
Sincerely,
Anne Quigley - Director
