VALENTINE PUBLIC LIBRARY
BOARD STATEMENT

All policies were prepared by the Valentine Public Library Board to serve as a directive of the Board as to the operational policy of the Library. The Board unanimously adopts the policy statement of the American Library Association, the Library Bill of Rights and the Freedom to Read Statement on book selection and controversial materials. Copies of these statements are located within the “collections development policy” portion of this handbook. These objectives and policies will be examined annually and may be revised at any time by action of the Library Board.
